What did President Obama say about NSA spying programs?

During his speech the other day outlining revisions to the U.S. intelligence operations, President Obama said some changes were going to happen immediately and the government was looking for scale back the collecting of phone records on American citizens.

But, what the President didn’t say was that wholesale data collection of Americans was going to stop. The NSA is still going to collect a copy of everything that travels over the internet. Whether the government stores it it’s own facility or not is really not the issue. Someone will store your data, so if you’re smart you will learn how to encrypt your communications and keep other people from reading it.

Let’s face it, we live in a digital world and if not the government someone will be trying to hack you and track everything you do online.
